As a huge fan of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (as many Millennial teenagers were), Jonathan soon discovered he could do a decent impression of Jack Sparrow’s voice. What started as playful fun quickly evolved into something more. With serious practice he worked hard to refine and master the character’s distinctive mannerisms, swagger, and vocal delivery. And just like that, it was the first steps into the pirate’s life. By 2007, he had finally debuted “version 1.0” of what would wind up being an everlasting passion project and life-changing adventure.

Today, with over 18 years of experience bringing the character to life, Jonathan is recognized as one of the most authentic Jack Sparrow tribute performers in the country. His ever-evolving, movie-accurate costume — meticulously hand-crafted with help and collaboration from talented artisans in the Pirate community — paired with his carefully honed mannerisms and vocal performance, consistently earns delighted double-takes everywhere he goes.
